 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron
The grand reveal of the Audi e-tron Q4 has shown consumers everywhere that Audi is preparing itself for the next big thing, and among many other automakers making the switch to electric, the e-tron Q4 is destined to be a front runner upon its widespread consumer release. As promised, the vehicle's MEB platform gives way to a ton of new opportunities for the Audi SUV, including a larger interior space, a low and athletic profile, and so much more that simply cannot be done with a gas-powered vehicle. Audi holds on to a lot of its luxurious roots, outclassing its competitors such as Volkswagen and Nissan as they too throw their hats into the electric car arena.
Under the hood
Audi is certainly doing its part to lessen the notion that electric vehicles have less power and excitement than the average gas-powered vehicle. The release of the Audi Q4 e-tron will present consumers with three options on engines depending on the trim level. The best available with the electric vehicle is the all-new Quatro engine, which has a maximum output of 295 horsepower. The powerful engine has an acceleration speed of 0-60 in 6.2 seconds, and while that is not as substantial as its gas-powered Audi counterpart, it is still an outstandingly energetic pace when compared to other luxury SUVs.
As promised from its early hints at charging capacity, the Audi Q4 e-tron's 77.0 kWh battery pack can charge up to 125-kW, and with outstanding growth in charging capability the battery can hit 80% of its full charge in half an hour. The EPA has yet to release specifics on fuel economy, but it can be expected to be within the realm of their current electric lineup. Additionally, the Audi has introduced the Q4 e-tron as an intended competitor to vehicles such as the Jaguar I-Pace and the infamous Tesla Model X.
On the InsideThe Audi Q4 e-tron has a center console that brings all of the focus right to the horizon line, with a touchscreen and MID screen directly on the same line of vision. In a departure from the original teaser, the Audi Q4 e-tron offers an augmented reality feature that can project pertinent driving information right onto the windshield. The four-spoke steering wheel isn't quite round, but with a flattened top and bottom, and features touch-sensitive controls and a toggle-switch gear shifter. The Q4 e-tron is expected to have a multitude of driver assistance features including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking. Although not yet determined, its highly likely that an optional feature of Wi-Fi hotspot access and a wireless charging feature will be available. | Â

Cargo Capacity
The Q4 e-tron is nearly everything that consumers and luxury SUV fans have come to expect of the modern electric car; a clean arrangement of controls, a spacious interior due to lack of standard gas components, and a little taste of what could only be considered the future. Unique to electric cars and true with the Audi Q4 e-tron is a completely flat floor, enabling substantial more leg room with hidden storage compartments on the inside. The concept e-tron originally sparked seating for four, but the final design offers space for five.Â
